We are pleased to report that
“Roger Frost’s Organic Chemistry” launches on CD
on
1 July 2006. The final QA formality takes place on 3/7/06
and then those who have ordered the standalone or ‘computer’
edition will receive a plain CD in the days following.
Colleagues are reporting that it can take a
month to get software installed at work so we've extended your access to the
web edition through the summer. As
we’re rebuilding the website you can tell friends and colleagues
that there’s an ‘amnesty’ on who can access it. Make seasonal
use of it and we will give a prize for the most entertaining
photo of 'ACTT' being used in an Internet café, on a laptop by
the pool and so on. Send your picture by the first week of term.
Even better news:
We have uploaded the CD software to a special webpage.
If we've an order you may
download this 55Mb file and the instructions. Either mail us for the link or use the contact info below.
And sorry
It is 2 years this month since the
ACTT project began. Our
apologies to all for the waiting. In our defence we must say
that it takes much longer to make software that doesn't lecture
you everything there is to know. Also, because this is a
material apology, you now have around 230 slides which is a few
more that the 100 or so we originally promised. Many thanks to
those who have offered advice along the way. Please get in touch and offer
(paid) help with our next title.
If you've not
visited for a while:
In our move to
www.advancedchemistry.co.uk your passwords were kept so safely that
we could not copy them over. However if you re-register on the next page you
can use your email/password to login and use the material immediately.
Please remember to 'signout' after use.
Can't login? You'll be running again in a jiffy.
If you didn't 'signout' the last time you used
the web edition you may see a message saying "wait 20 minutes...". If this happens we recommend that you register as a fresh user and login with the new details.
